Leona Graham is truly the Queen of Rock. She was the first presenter on Absolute Classic Rock and is now the guardian of the Great British Guarantee, broadcasting weekdays and Sunday mornings plus the Saturday night Absolute Classic Rock Party which is simulcast on our sister station, Absolute Radio.
Classic Rock runs through Leona like the word Blackpool runs through seaside rock. The musicians she's met and interviewed reads like a who's who of legends... and she lists Ozzy Osbourne as one of her favourites.
Leona hadn't planned a career in radio and turned up at Warwick University to study drama when she stumbled upon the student radio station and it all started from there. She's been at One Golden Square since 2000 but there can't be a person in the country who's hasn't heard Leona's voice on television adverts and promotional trailers. She's been the voice of everything from Footballers' Wives to ER.
Elisabeth Mahoney from the Guardian describes Leona as having "a gorgeously purring delivery... so sultry voiced that every invitation to text a request into the studio sounds like an indecent proposal."
When she's not on-air, Leona - who's a qualified school teacher - is spending time with her young children and dogs.
